A message apparently from the principal instructs the office to transfer $5 million into a new investment before the deadline. The beneficiary details have changed. The usual signatory is travelling. Everyone expects the office to make it happen.
Panel Two · 6:30pm
Wealth on Paper. Cash by Friday.
Liquidity, commitments and the true family balance sheet.
The family has substantial wealth across operating businesses, property, investment portfolios and holding structures. Three capital calls and an acquisition payment fall due together. Expected distributions have slipped. The principal asks: ‘Can we complete on Friday?’
